Natural compounds lower uric acid levels and hyperuricemia: Molecular mechanisms and prospective

چکیده

With the change of dietary habits and lifestyles, people tend to have elevated blood uric acid levels at a younger age, this can cause serious health problems, such as hyperuricemia, gout, cardiovascular diseases nephropathy. However, current clinical acid-lowering drugs mostly side effects. Natural compounds from food other plants properties lowering acid. The objective review is discuss potential activities natural in molecular mechanisms involved. Also discussed are sources purines key events purine metabolism, well hyperuricemia due overproduction underexcretion Flavonoids, especially flavones flavonols saponins, terpenoids alkaloids, shown These could reduce by inhibiting xanthine oxidoreductase regulating transporters. Based on information contents different items, approach for an adjuvant or replacement therapeutic hyperuricemia.

Uric acid, hyperuricemia and vascular diseases.

Uric acid is the product of purine metabolism. It is known that hyperuricemia, defined as high levels of blood uric acid, is the major etiological factor of gout. A number of epidemiological reports have increasingly linked hyperuricemia with cardiovascular and neurological diseases. Studies highlighting the pathogenic mechanisms of uric acid point to an inflammatory response as the primary mec...

Chronic Hyperuricemia, Uric Acid Deposit and Cardiovascular Risk

Hyperuricemia is commonly associated with traditional risk factors such as dysglicemia, dyslipidemia, central obesity and abnormal blood pressure, i.e. the metabolic syndrome. Concordantly, recent studies have revived the controversy over the role of circulating uric acid, hyperuricemia, and gout as an independent prognostic factor for cardiovascular morbidity and mortality. In this regard, dif...

Studies on Uric Acid and Related Compounds

The systematic study of the substrate specificity of mammalian xanthine oxidase has indicated a common mechanism by which various purines may be dehydrogenated (1). The results obtained also made it clear why methylated xanthines, with the exception of 1-methylxanthine (2), cannot be oxidized by xanthine oxidase to the corresponding substituted uric acids (3, 4). Therefore, another source had t...
